frequently asked questions
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your ride. We offer a 30-day return window for all unused accessories and helmets in their original packaging. For e-bikes, please review our detailed Return Policy page regarding mileage limits and return shipping conditions.
Do the bikes arrive fully assembled?
To ensure safe transit, our e-bikes ship securely packaged and are about 85% assembled. We provide easy-to-follow instructions and all necessary tools for a quick 20-minute setup. If you're local, you can also opt for in-store pickup, where our team will hand deliver it fully assembled and ready to roll.
How often should I bring my e-bike in for service?
To keep your ride smooth and safe, we recommend a safety check and minor tune-up every 6 to 12 months (or every 500 miles), depending on how frequently you ride.
Do you service e-bikes from other brands?
While our technicians specialize in the components and engineering of The Collective e-bikes, we do accommodate standard mechanical repairs (like flats, brakes, and chains) for other brands. Please note that we only service electric components on our proprietary models.
How do I schedule a tune-up or repair?
We make maintenance effortless. Just head to our Service Scheduling Page, select the type of service you need, choose an available date and time that fits your schedule, and drop your bike off. We'll handle the rest.
Are your accessories compatible with other bike brands?
Many of our bags, baskets, and tech accessories feature universal mounting systems. However, our curated collection is specifically optimized to complement the design and geometry of The Collective e-bikes for a seamless look.
How do I know what helmet size to order?
Safety meets style only when it fits right. Each of our premium helmets includes a specific sizing chart on the product page. Simply measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and match it to our guide.
How far can I go on a single charge?
While exact mileage depends on terrain, rider weight, and your level of pedal assist, most of our e-bikes offer a range of 30 to 50 miles per charge. Perfect for a full day of cruising!
Do I need a license or registration to ride your e-bikes?
In most areas, no! Our e-bikes are built to standard electric bicycle regulations. However, local laws can vary slightly regarding speed limits and path access, so we always recommend checking your city's specific guidelines.
What makes The Collective e-bikes different?
We blend premium California coastal design with high-performance electric technology. Our bikes aren't just built to get you from A to B; they are thoughtfully engineered for maximum comfort, effortless style, and endless fun on beach towns and city streets alike.
